In the desire to fulfill our dual mandate of education and crisis care, the Board of Directors of Right to Life Kent has decided to stream the organization into two different divisions.
For over 40 years, RTLK has been speaking on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves. With courage and perseverance, the organization has consistently upheld the message in Chatham-Kent that life matters!
In early 2011 we experienced a fire that destroyed our office and all of our equipment, records, and supplies. The community and our faithful supporters were so generous to help us get back up on our feet very quickly. Better than that, we saw it as a time to re-evaluate our structure and purpose to make sure we were carrying out our primary mission.
Life in Motion is the educational & motivational division. This involves keeping the community aware of current developments with life issues such as abortion, infanticide, euthanasia/assisted suicide and embryonic stem cell experimentation. Life in Motion equips and mobilzes the pro-life community to make their voices heard with a view of affecting change in the laws and culture of our nation.
Refuge is the Crisis Pregnancy and Counseling division. This involves serving women in their moment of need with free pregnancy testing, options counseling, pregnancy & labour support, maternity & baby supplies, prenatal/postpartum/parenting workshops and breastfeeding clinics.
Our board meets monthly to work together on shaping the vision and direction of our organization, policy development, and stewarding our resources responsibly and with accountability.
